Stagnancy + Flow Workshop

with The Floating Space

The Floating Space is a collaborative project with Kasia Murfet, a friend and thoughtful breath-work, meditation, and qigong facilitator. Together, we’ve created a series of intimate workshops that intertwine creativity, modern psychology, and Buddhist philosophy.

Our upcoming workshop, 'Stagnancy and Flow,' is an invitation for self-inquiry and artistic expression; to turn inward, to listen to what your inner self is gently trying to reveal. One of the practices we’ll engage in is Ensō drawing, a Zen-inspired practice which involves drawing a single circle with one stroke of the brush — a meditative process that reflects the state of the mind in the moment. This is one of my most favourite and thoughtful tools for self-awareness, focus, and reflection. It invites each of us to observe where we might feel resistance or where we can invite more flow into our lives.

I hope for this workshop to provide an opportunity for presence. While it is not traditional therapy, it offers a space for creativity to guide participants into a deeper connection with themselves. As both an artist and therapist, I feel fulfilment in offering this blend of mindful, creative practices in the space of community, compassion and collaboration.

If you’re intrigued by the idea of blending art and mindfulness to explore your world, I warmly invite you to join us for the Stagnancy and Flow workshop this March. Here is a link for more information and insights into The Floating Space.
